Wakehurst were on their travels up the Shore Road to take on Brantwood in what was going to be a tough contest again the fourth placed side.

Their last encounter proved a tight affair with Wakehurst coming away with a 3-2 win at Mill Meadow and 'Hurst knew that nothing less than a victory would do to keep the pressure on promotion favourites Coagh Utd.

Wakehurst continued their unbeaten start to 2017 with a convincing win against a spirited Corner team.

'Hurst started well after a cross in to the box caused havoc and after a bit of pinball in the area, Stewart Nixon popped up, heading against the underside of the bar and into the net on the first minute.

The Strollers were looking for their fourth straight win in 2017 but had to settle for a point in what was a nip and tuck for the whole 90 minutes.

The opening five minutes saw the hosts have a few decent chances after Roy Colville found Peter Adams in space on the left hand side, who in turn found George Fleck just inside the box but his turn and shot ran just wide of the post.

The Strollers came in to this game off the back of two successive victories in 2017 and kept that run going with a hard fought victory against a good Castle Star team.

The first 15 minutes were very even with both teams playing some nice football but cancelling each other out before the deadlock was broken on the 22nd minute when the Star striker capitalised on a mistake at the bac

A flattering scoreline for the Strollers following a poor, poor performance for about 75 minutes from them.

3rd Ballyclare went ahead on the 14th minute when their striker who was unmarked on the penalty area tapped the ball home and then added to their lead through a long keeper kick which somehow beat everyone except their front man to head home from eight yards.

Wakehurst went into this game against their higher league opponents as under dogs and the work rate of each and every player in a black and white shirt was top drawer.

In the first 45 minutes, it was all Wakehurst as they they were outworking and out playing Limavady all over the park and on the 23rd minute, Nixon found himself with just the keeper to beat and hammered it int
