Wakehurst went in to this game on the back of two straight victories but were without top scorer Stewart Nixon and regular left back Kurtis McCartney but a big plus was captain Ryan Bamber playing his first minutes since November.

After a couple of early chances, the deadlock was broken when Lee McClelland slid home following great work on the left from Nicky Black.

Wakehurst earned a place in the final of the O’Gorman Cup with a hard fought victory over a tough Dunloy side.

The Strollers suffered their first defeat of 2017 on a very windy day at Beltoy.

Wakehurst started off the better team and were controlling the game for large parts of the first half but couldn't capitalise and were caught on a counter attack where David Johnston was adjudged to give away a very dubious penalty which Star converted to go one up.
