Magherafelt Sky Blues (A)

Wakehurst continued their unbeaten run on Saturday, making it 12 on the spin but the feeling in the camp after this was of disappointment after conceding two quick goals in the last nine minutes when the game seemed over as a contest.
Wakehurst took the lead after seven minutes when a long throw by Nixon was flicked on to Zach Barr who with his back to goal swivelled and hit a thunderbolt giving the keeper no chance.

The game was end to end with no real flow to it with little football being played on the tight Spires Park pitch but Barr came close again with an overhead kick on the 32nd minute.

Half Time: Magherafelt Sky Blues 0-1 Wakehurst
The second half started and on the 57th minute a long pass up field resulted in Barr playing in Stewart Nixon who hammered it underneath the Sky Blues keeper to make it 2-0.
With the game moving into the final ten minutes the home team scored two quick fire goals to draw snatch a point.
The young 'Hurst players were very disappointed after the game but will bounce back and are learning and improving every week and their will be many twists and turns before the season is over.

Next Saturday Wakehurst are away to Tobermore United in the Irish Cup.
