Wakehurst started this game struggling to get into their usual style of football and the hosts were taking the game to 'Hurst but just couldn't get that elusive goal sending the game in 0-0 at half time.

Wakehurst came out a different side playing with purpose and Larne Tech were struggling to cope with the pace of the Wakehurst attackers.

Against the run of play on the 57th minute, the hosts scored with a goal which was at least ten yards offside - which to everyone's amazement was given by the referee.

However, 30 seconds later, the score was one apiece when after good work between Weir and Nixon allowed the latter to hammer past Chris Keenan to make the scores level.

From this point, Wakehurst kept pushing for a winner and the game went into extra time.

On the 94th minute, the ball dropped to Corey Price, 25 yards out - who volleyed the ball over the head of the Larne keeper and into the roof of the net to secure the victory and send Cliff Adams' side in to the Third Round of the Irish Cup.

William Mccombe presented the Man of the Match award to Conor Ross and Stewart Nixon after the game.
