Ballynure Old Boys (A)

Wakehurst suffered their first league defeat of the season in a game which until the start of the second half, they weren't even competing in.
Ballynure’s ex-Nigerian international striker Kevin Amuneke reacted quickest on the ninth minute when he hit a left footed strike from the edge of the box which took a deflection and give Andy Findlay no chance.
Wakehurst had a few good balls flashed across the Ballynure goal but no one got on the end of them and again it was former FC Porto hit man Amuneke that did the damage, who after a neat one-two, side footed into the net with ease on the 33rd minute.

Half Time: Ballynure OB 2-0 Wakehurst FC

Wakehurst started the second half with more purpose and were asking questions of the opponents defence as Ryan Bamber got in on goal twice but failed to convert.
On the 67th minute, Craig Richardson scored the hosts' third against the run of play to make it 3-0.
Wakehurst fought hard to try and get back into it and grabbed a consolation goal on the 75th minute as a thunderous strike from David McLaughlin hit the bar and it rebounded to Andy Laughlin, who placed his header past the keeper but it was too little, to late.
Wakehurst have a free week next Saturday which has come at a good time as it will give some players much needed rest due to injuries.
On Saturday night, the club are holding a fundraising Night at the Races in Ballymena Bowling Club from 8pm and everyone is welcome.
